Category Cat

Categorie, de aanduiding van het type UTP-kabel. EIA/TIA 586 definieerde zeven basis kabelcategoriën: 1 t/m 7. Cat 5 t/m 100 Mbps, Cat 5E t/m 1 GbE, Cat 6 t/m 10 GbE, en Cat 7 t/m 40 GbE.
