Radiocommunicatie over zeer korte afstand, zoals in een PAN of met een smartcard of RFID-label. Communicatie met snelheden van 100-400 kbit/s in de 13 MHz band over 1 cm. Veelbelovend, maar in de problemen vanwege Google Wallet.
